Pre-School Fees and Funding
Admissions
Children can start pre-school from the age of 2 years in our Caterpillar room. Two Year Funding is available to parents who meet the eligibility criteria (please see Two Year funding below)
Children typically move through to the Butterfly room the term that they turn 3 ( subject to availability). We offer 15 hours of free funding (Universal Entitlement) for ALL children the term after their third birthday, these hours can be taken over a morning session (9-12 noon), an afternoon session (12.45pm-3.45pm) or a full day (9am-3pm). For example:
Your child can access 5 mornings or afternoons at 3 hrs per session = 15 hours per week
Your child can access 2 full days at 6 hours per day, and either one morning or afternoon at 3 hours per session = 15 hours per week.
We also offer the 30 hour extended entitlement, children can access all their 30 hour funding with us over five full days Monday- Friday 9am-3pm ( 6 hours per day x 5 days= 30 hours) term time only. 30 hour extended entitlement funding can be split between our pre-school and another provider.
Purchasing Extra Sessions
Extra sessions, additional to your child's free universal entitlement can be purchased. For example if your child attends five mornings per week (15 hours) and you wish for them to stay and access a full day (lunch time and afternoon until 3pm) you can purchase the additional 3 hours for the cost of £16.00.The additional hours will be subject to availability and may be limited especially in the summer term

Funding
Free Childcare for Two Year Olds
Two year funding is available to children the term after their second birthday. To access this funding parents must be in receipt of one of the following benefits
- Income Support
- income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA)
- income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
- Universal Credit
- tax credits and you have an annual income of under £16,190 before tax
- the guaranteed element of State Pension Credit
- support through part 6 of the Immigration and Asylum Act
- the Working Tax Credit 4-week run on (the payment you get when you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit)
A child can also get free early education and childcare if any of the following apply:
- they’re looked after by a local council
- they have a current statement of special education needs (SEN) or an education, health and care (EHC) plan
- they get Disability Living Allowance
- they’ve left care under a special guardianship order, child arrangements order or adoption order
15 Hours free Universal Entitlement for ALL 3 and 4 Year Olds.
ALL children who are 3 or 4 years old have access to 570 hours of free childcare per year. We offer this funding at 15 hours per week for 38 weeks of the year (term time only).
Children can access this funding the term AFTER their third birthday.
Child’s birthday When you can claim
1 January to 31 March The beginning of term on or after 1 April
1 April to 31 August The beginning of term on or after 1 September
1 September to 31 December The beginning of term on or after 1 January
For example, if your child's birthday is 15th June 2015, they can access their funding from September 2018.
30 Hours Extended Entitlement
To qualify parent/s must be in work, including self employment and each must be earning at least £120 a week and not more than £100,000 per year.
To check your eligibility and apply online go to childcarechoices .gov.uk.
If you are eligible you will receive an 11 digit eligibility code. Please bring your code into pre-school for verification. Once this code has been verified your 30 hour place will be secured from the term after you receive your code eg A code obtained between Sept-Dec can be used from January.
You will need to reconfirm your eligibility every 3 months and bring the new code into pre-school to be checked.
Places do fill up quickly therefore we advise you to register your child for pre-school from an early age
